Halloween Jack-o-Lantern Pumpkin Placemats

Halloween is near! And my table has been in need of pumpkin placemats.

My mom came out to visit me at the very end of August, and our (my) project was pumpkin placemats. So we (I) got right to work on it! We hit up a bunch of Driver's, Dine-In's, and Dives places first. ;P And had boba tea, gourmet ice cream, White Castle, In n' Out...we got fat, and watching Downtown Abbey didn't help that at all. One tip though, if you invite your mom over to sew and feed her, she might just iron for you. ;D We also went to a couple of quilting and embroidery stores too where I got spoiled with some fabrics, notions, and Christmas cross-stitch patterns.

So back to the placemats. We picked out a bunch of oranges, yellows, and some light browns and cut out a bunch of 2 ½" strips. ✂︎ Drew up some fun faces to appliqué on in a solid black fabric and played around with the arrangement.
